It's another unusually cool day here in Texas. I'm wearing a sweatshirt in April. I hope this means that we are going to have a mild summer. This old gal doesn't handle the heat very well. My social security card came in so I will soon be employed yay! Look out Pyramid collections and Sacred Mists here I come!!! As I have mentioned before I'm not much into shoes and clothes, but I love witchy stuff! I have to do my part to help out the economy don't I? hehehehe! I need to create an alter by the pond. This is my magic place. There is so much positive energy there. As of right now I place my candles and incense on the bank. You can tell tell the exact spot because of the candle wax. Maybe I don't need an alter. It seems maybe that Mother Nature has already provided one for me. The different colors of wax do look nice on the dirt. I have an alter in the kitchen. My cat Frey rearranges it on a daily basis lol! When I am making copies on the printer he grabs the paper as it is coming out and runs off with it. He is such a charactor! I should have named him Loki. One more thing before I go. I found a great site on moon phase calenders. Alot of great information as well as moon phase information on the current month. It is a beautiful day here, a little chilly for this time of the year, but I like it that way. From what i've heard we will be having a cooler spring and summer. Supposidly the earth is cooling instead of heating. I can live with that. I looked outside earlier and saw a male cardinal sitting on the porch railing. They also come around the pig pen at feeding time for bread and corn. This is a beautiful place. After I feed the pigs and have a shower I plan on lighting candles and incense by the pond and sending loving energy to Michael and Kansas. Also some no puke energy to Steph lol! I have been thinking about my journey towards Cronedom. Is that even a word? lol! I have passed my child bearing years, but I'm not a Crone yet. Kind of an in between thing. A time for growth and healing before embarking on a new journey I suppose. I'm having trouble with the thought of growing old. Vanity perhaps, and also the word Crone is so severe. I think we need a new word for that stage in our lives. One that is a little more soft and gentle. But then again if we have learned our lessons and become wiser then we are no longer soft, gentle yes, but we will have become stronger of will and mind. Okay, I am beginning to look forward to this stage. I have also been thinking of how I would like others to see me. I hope that when people refer to me they will say things like: "you know, Laura was so confused and shy and backwards, but look at her now. She really got her shit together! And if you need to know anything about herbs and stones just ask her. She is a fountain of knowledge! She is always so open and loving and full of good advise!" Now is that too much to ask lol! This is my goal. this is the Laura  I want to be. Geez I better go. I've got alot of work to do!!! Love and hugs to all of you and have a wonderful day!!!

I've been going through some changes over the last few days. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I had been having doubts about my move. I finally reached a point where I had to have an answer. Bruce had to to take a freezer to the ex (part of the problem), and  my daughter Holly was down in the dumps when I called her. While Bruce was gone I went and sat at the edge of the pond and lit a candle and some incense. While I was feeding the fish I asked the Goddess if I was doing the right thing. I felt that feeding the fish was my offering to the Goddess. As I was sitting there relaxing and enjoying the fresh air Bruce returns home and walks down to the pond and sits with me. There was my answer. You can't get any clearer than that. I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I'm home. We walked back to the house together and he had brought me a spinich pizza and a Homer Simpson doll. These are two of my favorite things. Yes, that really sealed the deal! It means so much when your significant other remembers what you like. Old jaded Laura is gone now. Enter the new and improved loving, trusting me! It feels so good allowing myself to trust and love fully.

If you have fire of soul, then Vedic sages say it is reflected in the shining of your eyes. It's reflected spontaneously in our body language and body movements. Everything you think, feel, say and do will reflect the same fire.
SIMPLE SOLUTION:  Do this exercise to connect with the fire in your eyes:

Whenever you look into a mirror, even if it's just for a second or two, make eye contact with your image and silently repeat the three principles that are the foundation of self-referral. First, say to yourself, "I'm totally independent of the good or bad opinions of others." Second: "I'm beneath no one." Third: "I'm fearless in the face of any and all challenges."

Look into your eyes in the mirror and see those attitudes reflected back to you. Just in your eyes, not in your facial expression. Look for the shine in your eyes to remind yourself of the fire in your soul.
